America’s Providential History by Mark Belile and Steven McDowell
American Foreign Policy in the 20th Century:

Nations can not do whatever they want even if their law permits it. Everyone is subject to the higher law of God and as a christian nation we must not allow other nations to violate our God given rights. The United States Constitution gives congress the right to declare war and to define and punish piracies and felonies committed on the high seas and offenses committed against the law of nations. The United States established war tribunals to bring foreign officials to trial for atrocities committed in violation of the law of nations or international law based on this clause of the Constitution.

The fact that these officials could be held to a higher stability of conduct and that simple obedience to orders was not considered an absolute offense to charges of violating international law, indicates further recognition that the laws of man are subject to the laws of God. A christian nation will be an exporter of christian ideas.

As we repair our nation and put it in order we shall then be in a position to do what we were meant to do originally.....to colonize ideas, specifically the christian ideas of man and government so that it does not stop on these shores but goes on to cover the globe.

Our historians used to believe that it was our mission to colonize America’s unique political ideas but as we have forgotten what our founding fathers achieved--- forgotten the source of our freedom and influence----we have failed to do this!

This does not mean we can export our structure and system of government to other countries and expect it to make sense to them without an understanding of the christian principles of self government that underlines the structure. We have learned that self government begins first with the individual aligning himself with the will of God. Then caring for himself and others and applying biblical principles to all areas of his life until he produces a civil government reflecting his godly self governing.
