A new form of resistance against central tyranny taking root?
Since the founding of America, there has long been both an intellectual and even a horrendous Civil War regarding the rights of individual states vs a perceived tyrannical D.C overlord. It seems as though we now have a new form of defiance, local governments resisting the iron fist of their state capitals. Many California cities and a few counties are fighting against the sanctuary policies of the state capitol, which are generally perceived as threatening to citizens when applied to felons and violent criminals. Now some disgruntled Illinois residents may be starting to protest against what they consider to be an attack on the second amendment. There is a huge cultural divide between downstate Illinois, largely conservative, and northeastern Chicago's infamous Leftist Cook County, Will this form of local challenge spread to other states?
