Jackson AKJV Preface 1875 Dedication to Religious Freedom in America by the signing of King James Bible 1611:
The translation of the Bible extends not only to the transitory world but to the eternal happiness which is above in Heaven. Then, not to suffer this to fail, but to continue. Your Highness King James did leave it that it may go forward with the confidence of men in maintaining the truth of Christ and propagating it far and near. For it is that which has so bound and firmly knit the hearts of all Your Majesty’s loyal people that your very name is precious to them.
The people bless you in their hearts as that sanctified person who, under God, is their immediate author of their true happiness. Everyday contentment increases and strengthens when they observe the zeal of Your Majesty toward the House of God is more and more kindled. May the Lord of Heaven and earth bless Your Majesty with many happy days that as God’s Heavenly hand has enriched Your Highness with many singular and extra-ordinary graces, as you may be the wonder of the world in this latter age for happiness and true felicity for the honor of our Great God and for the good of His church, through Jesus Christ, our Lord and only Savior.
