Freedom of Speech is Celebrated, not
Condemned !!!

What is a true and genuine American Patriot; what are the components?

"I believe that a very important component is holding onto the values that have been passed onto us by the patriots that have gone before us. Some of those values are faith, family, freedom, sanctity of life from conception to natural death with the inherent dignity and value of every human being being acknowledged and respected, hard work and earning a place/position in society, helping our neighbors, personally supporting those in real need and living out all these values out in our daily lives.

An American patriot would deeply love our country and faithfully participate in the political process, which requires study to become knowledgeable and well-informed to make the best choices that conform to our constitutional boundaries. Holding to the standards established by the Declaration and Constitution is a really important part of it because our identity as a people and nation ...was formed and developed from them. All of our American values were birthed from our Biblical foundation which permeated all aspects of society from the education and the arts to law and government, reaching from the lowest economic places to the highest levels of achievement and everything in between.

It was the air we all breathed and it made this country so different from all other places and it bound us together as a people. We might be rich, we might be poor, but achievement in any area of life by anyone was celebrated and served to show others that it could be done. We were unashamed to have heroes, to read about them, tell their stories, and learn from their lives. And for many years so many patriots were birthed out of this American soil, decent, strong, brave and true patriots who sacrificially served out of love and duty."
We're all grateful for the patriots we've been privileged to know.

Moral Clarity

Those who seek to move the earth must first, have a place to stand. Moral clarity provides us with a place to stand, a reference point from where to leverage our talents, ideas, and energies to create a better world. Without moral clarity, without a reference point, those same talents, ideas, and energies are just likely to do harm as good.

This is the tragedy that has befallen the contemporary struggle for human rights. The great dividing line in that struggle is the line that separates free societies that thrive on dissent from fear societies that ban it. Societies that do not allow dissent will never protect human rights.

But today, detached from the concept of a free society, human rights have no reference point. The concept of human rights has come to mean sympathy for the poor, the weak, and the suffering.

To be sure, sympathy is essential if we want to live in moral societies and should be encouraged and cultivated by families, faiths, schools, and governments. Yet without moral clarity, sympathy can also be placed in the service of evil.

A world without moral clarity, is a world in which dictators speak about human rights even as they kill thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions, and even tens of millions of people.

A lack of moral clarity is also the tragedy that has befallen efforts to advance peace and security in the world.

Promoting peace and security is fundamentally connected to promoting freedom from democracy.

The world cannot depend on leaders who do not depend on their own people.

But today, the struggle for peace and security in the world is not linked to promoting democracy. The road to peace is seen as paved with good intentions, goodwill, and faith in the brotherhood of man.

Likewise, security is believed to be a function of strong leaders and powerful armies. All of these, of course, can help advance peace and security, but detached from the idea of a free society, they can just as easily be placed in the service of evil. A world without moral clarity, is a world in which the name of peace, pacifists marched alongside emissaries of the KGB who, posing as peace activists, sought to undermine the efforts of a free world to defend itself against Soviet aggression.

It is a world in which a strong dictator can be seen as a reliable partner for peace. It is a world in which those who dream of peace are willing to place a wolf and lamb in the same cage and hope for the best-again and again.

The Culture of Despair
They attacked liberalism because it seemed to them the principle premise of modern society, everything they dreaded seemed to spring from it:the bourgeois life, Manchesterism, materialism, parliament and the parties, the lack of political leadership, even more, they sensed in liberalism the source of all their inner sufferings. Theirs was a resentment of loneliness, their one desire was for a new faith, a new community of believers, a world with fixed standards and no doubts, a new national religion that would bind all Germans together. All this, liberalism denied. Hence, they hated liberalism, blamed it for making outcasts of them, for uprooting them from their imaginary past, and from their faith.
