Unicorns And Fairies In The Land Of The Eagle

Once upon a time there existed a republic of strength, pride, and achievement known as The Land Of the Eagle. Its founding was long and arduous. It fought many external wars in order to maintain its freedom and a very costly Civil War in terms of lives lost in order to maintain its unity. Although all was not perfect, The Land Of the Eagle eventually became a strong and a shining city on the hill to those seeking more personal freedom and an opportunity to have a better way of life.
All good things must eventually come to an end and so did this great nation. As with many other realms, the never ending conflict between good and evil also existed within its borders.
Evil is never decisively defeated, it is only beaten back. In time it will regroup and launch another assault. The earlier inhabitants of The Land were able to recognize its various forms thus able to defeat it. However, the further a nation gets from the struggles of its founding, the lazier its inhabitants become both physically and intellectually. So went The Land.
By the middle of 2008, despair was sweeping the through the stunned populace. The present keeper was most unpopular with his citizens, and they were eagerly looking forward to a regime change.
The state run media had continually trumpeted the unpopularity of an ongoing foreign war opposed by rival factions. An imminent financial collapse was hurried along by Satan's Child (shown below). The stage had been set so that The Golden One could easily and fraudulently be placed upon the throne. Only a minority of the citizenry questioned the legitimacy of his victory.
Under gleaming Greek Columns, (probably made of Styrofoam) he assured the quivering and panicking fairy dusted masses that he would bring Hope And Change in order to restore happiness upon the beleaguered republic. They bowed, they prayed, they shouted with joy, and many declared him the Messiah. Others wanted to crown him King. The aware and awakened just wanted to crown him.
Side note, many saw him as the Anti-Christ, and others saw him for what he was--an empty suit doing the bidding of his masters, but I digress from the fairy tale.
The time was right and the Evil Ones had succeeded in placing their well groomed pretty face with the silky tongue on a throne of lies in order to seduce the masses and to hide their true agenda.
"The Emperor Has No Clothes" became the battle cry of those who were aware. Their fate was harsh. Invectives, vituperations and physical violence were often unleashed upon them. Untold numbers were publicly and secretly stretched upon the rack of ridicule.
The viscous mask of perfidy slowly began to slip. When it finally fell off with a resounding splat, the conditioned masses seemed completely unconcerned either as to what was revealed to be underneath or about the direction into which they were being herded.
There were those, who from the beginning, remained aware, and some had awakened and joined them. However, the time had passed for either overt or covert rebellion. The regime had so skillfully and surreptitiously tightened its grip that by then resistance seemed futile.
Thus the Land Of The Eagle soared no more. It had been made so perverse and untrustworthy by The One that its former friends abandoned it, and its enemies no longer feared it. It stood alone and soon met the same fate as had so many other great civilizations of the past. Unlike several other past civilizations it did not go down in a blaze of glory. It simply melted down into an ignominious pile of dung.
Now, so much for unskillfully penned fairy tales, and yes, I will keep my day job.

Banks are the root of all evil.
When a member of a traditionally oppressed group wants a house or a car he can’t afford, financial institutions are expected to lend him the money. If they don’t, they’re engaging in discrimination.
Then when he can’t pay, it’s the fault of the evil banks for having “loaded him with debt”.
The mandate for loading him with debt came from the very same people denouncing the debt loaders. Not loaning money was discriminatory and then retroactively, loaning the money was also discriminatory. In the social justice economy, everything you do is always wrong.
As go the people, so go the nations.

Sadly, Very Few Realize That We Are Indeed Going Down:

On the morning of April 15, 1912, the ship named the Titanic struck an iceberg in the Atlantic Ocean during its voyage from the United Kingdom to New York City. At least 1500 crew and passengers lost their lives in a frigid watery grave that day....
But the story few Americans know is how the ship’s Commander, Edward Smith, reacted to the news that his ship was indeed sinking and there would be nothing he could do to stop it or save more than 1500 of his passengers…
In short, Commander Smith instructed the band to continue playing. The band was to keep playing until the icy water consumed the dance hall, so that the passengers onboard would not panic. The band was to meet their fatal demise while playing on, as they watched the passengers dance on, knowing the entire time that they would all soon die…
The passengers knew nothing different for hours, dancing, drinking, celebrating and living it up, as if life could be no sweeter… The ship struck the iceberg at 11:40 PM the night before. But it wasn’t until 2:20 AM that the ship finally broke apart, capsizing and slipping to a watery grave in the depths of the Atlantic.

This is a rather prophetic lecture, if you ask me, by Don McAlvany on the false demise of Communism. It was recorded 25 years ago, in 1990, shortly following the fall of the Berlin Wall, which marked the beginning of the Weidervereinigung des Deutschlands (Reunification of Germany).
What I find particularly fascinating about McAlvany’s presentation are his references to KGB defector Anatoliy Golytsin’s book New Lies for Old. I have written previously (see here) about Anatoliy’s Golytsin’s startlingly accurate predictions concerning Soviet plans to deceive the West into believing Communism was dead, and that the Soviet Union was a thing of the past. Golytsin went on to write his second book entitled The Perestroika Deception in 1995.
Most of Golytsin’s predictions have proven true in hindsight. In 1984, when New Lies for Old first hit the bookshelves, Golytsin predicted that the Berlin Wall would be torn down in order to fool the West into believing that the Soviet Union was shattered.
