Article 2 Section 1 paragraph 3: Time of Elections:
The congress may determine the time of choosing the electors and the day in which they shall give their votes. parag. 4 Qualifications of President:
No person except a natural born citizen or a citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption in the Constitution shall be eligible for president; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years and have been a resident for fourteen years:...parag. 5 Provisions in case of the president’s disability:
In case of the removal of the president from office or in case of his death, resignation or inability to discharge the powers and duties of said office, the same shall devolve on the vice president, and the congress may by law provide for the case of removal ; death, resignation, or inability of both the president and vice president, declaring what office shall then act as president and such officer shall then act accordingly until the disability be removed or a president shall be elected.
parag. 6 The president’s salary: the president shall at stated times receive for his services a compensation which shall neither be increased or diminished during the period for which he has been elected and he shall not receive within that period any other emolument (employment) from the United States or any of the states. parag. 7 oath of office:
Before the president enters on the execution of his office he must take the following oath or affirmation: “I DO SOLEMNLY SWEAR THAT I WILL FAITHFULLY EXECUTE THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES AND WILL TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY PRESERVE, PROTECT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES.
