The Patriots Daily Bites of American History , Seven Articles of the Constitution,Series #20
I went to school in the 1950s. Every Morning we recited the Lord’s Prayer and pledged allegiance to the Flag and sang all 4 verses of America. We took turns reading one chapter of the Bible in front of the class everyday and then we discussed the chapter out loud in class. In the 4th grade they took the Bible out and said we could be released for 2 hours a week to the church to study the Bible but we could not have the Bible in school anymore. They called it “Released Time.” I was too young to understand but now I am wondering why it was right for centuries and suddenly wrong. Nevertheless, I was happy for the released time and to go to church on Sundays and to picnics and outings for the children. I have wonderful memories. I suppose no one complained too much and I don’t know when they stopped released time but I know when I went to high school and evolution was taught a lot of people were angry and there was a big fuss but not so big of a fuss to stop the science class. Here is a page from our history textbook about the Ten Commandments.:
The American Public School Book is the Book elementary school students across America were taught from in every class room all across the country. I do not understand why it was taken out from our children? I, myself studied this book in the 50s.

Unquoting Halleck's History School Book: I resent the fact that this important information was stolen from our children and now they are not taught the truth about history.
