What is a true and genuine American Patriot; what are the components?

"I believe that a very important component is holding onto the values that have been passed onto us by the patriots that have gone before us. Some of those values are faith, family, freedom, sanctity of life from conception to natural death with the inherent dignity and value of every human being being acknowledged and respected, hard work and earning a place/position in society, helping our neighbors, personally supporting those in real need and living out all these values out in our daily lives. 

An American patriot would deeply love our country and faithfully participate in the political process, which requires study to become knowledgeable and well-informed to make the best choices that conform to our constitutional boundaries. Holding to the standards established by the Declaration and Constitution is a really important part of it because our identity as a people and nation ...was formed and developed from them. All of our American values were birthed from our Biblical foundation which permeated all aspects of society from the education and the arts to law and government, reaching from the lowest economic places to the highest levels of achievement and everything in between.

 It was the air we all breathed and it made this country so different from all other places and it bound us together as a people. We might be rich, we might be poor, but achievement in any area of life by anyone was celebrated and served to show others that it could be done. We were unashamed to have heroes, to read about them, tell their stories, and learn from their lives. And for many years so many patriots were birthed out of this American soil, decent, strong, brave and true patriots who sacrificially served out of love and duty."
We're all grateful for the patriots we've been privileged to know.

America’s ‘Bad Life Choices’

Every election season I am amazed at what happens with people. Americans are prone to fanaticism. We like our champions and we defend them with passion. Doesn't matter if we're talking a sports team or a political candidate... our guy is king and all others are dog crap. But here's my question... is this really sane in the America we live in.. with the issues we face... with the danger we face as a nation... on the verge of economic collapse... fighting a tyrannical government... dealing with a pop culture that is as corrupt as 1st Century Rome? The madness that is coming to America will be the consequence of a failure of priority in the minds of Americans. Ask yourself this question, if tomorrow the global economy collapses and you're suddenly faced with the challenge of how to obtain food, fresh water, etc., will you look back at the way you are thinking now and feel you were properly focused?

There is one question before us... who understands the state of the Union and the demand for the restoration of a Constitutional America and will work for that? The Federal government can not be tolerated on its current path. Ultimately America is going to fall and the severity of that fall is directly hinged to who we elect as President. If you think Trump is that guy.. please explain why. If it's Cruz.. explain why.. Carson.. Rubio.. same thing. If you can't explain it to yourself in real terms... ie.... my guy will do a,b,c and that will move America toward a Republic of Sovereign States... then you need to rethink your fanaticism. I am a fanatic for a few things. First, God, next, America as it was originally intended. 

Those are the only two things that provide any hope for the future.. my children's future. I am not a fanatic for ANY of these GOP candidates and I can articulate exactly what I think each of their strengths and weaknesses are. This is not about my guy winning my friends.. .it's about America winning. And fanaticism for a candidate at this point troubles me.

America has been an experiment in Liberty and Justice. Before America no such government ever existed... a government 'By the People'. The original design of our government provided a distributed power model in a Republic of Sovereign States. Centralized power is the bane of American idealism. Yet we chose, gradually, to allow the centralization of power in the Federal Government and we see the result in tyranny, in economic failure, and in growing national loss of identity.
 Who understands the state of the Union? Do you? Is your support for a candidate based on a clear understanding of what America must be... what is wrong... and the path to restore a Constitutional Republic of Sovereign States? Or is it another poorly thought out selection based on emotion or personal likes and dislikes? Those are what brought us to this place where we are.. on the edge of destruction. Get serious Americans.
