Being a Baby Boomer, I grew up in 50's-60's era....After World War II & in a time of PEACE....Yea we had our drills a school, you know the old ,"If They Drop A Nuclear Bomb Thing" & later we had the "Korean War" & "The Cold War" with a divided Germany....Having said that none of those Situations even come close to what AMERICA is going through today....And sadly the vast majority don't even understand or comprehend what's going on TODAY....And a Majority of them just DON"T CARE one way or the other...

When I was in SCHOOL there were those who had "Learning Disabilities" & they were given Special Attention....And at the end of the day by & large most of them overcame all of their issues & went about their life, successfully ....They didn't have to live at home with their parents , nor did they become WELFARE Recipients for Eternity....

By & large most People of that ERA were not SHACKLED by Overwhelming DEBTS either....You paid as you went....you saved your money...you set goals (reasonable ones)....That's just the way it was...No real Perks , but not crippling Downers either....You worked hard, you played hard & most of us still took for your FAMILY....If your're my age you likely remember the SUNDAY Lunches with ALL of your Family...brothers , sisters, Grand Mother, Mother & Father...And yes there was Church & Sunday Schools that preceded all of that....Some call it Fellowship, some call it Friendship, it wasn't perfect ,but it was real....

Then we entered into the AGE OF TELEVISION.....What a marvelous toy that became...And for those too young to know, it was not on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week....Programing was limited, but the Stations signed on with the NEWS....went to Soap Operas...to afternoon Baby Sitting Programing....mix in a Few Movies , some programing (series) & then the News & they signed off somewhere in the 10:30-12 hours...And yes we always wanted more...

In the late 60's Wars & Fears of Wars were constantly in the headlines...Then there was Vietnam...that divided the nation....Mind you I am not taking sides about the MERITS of that WAR, but that's about the TIME the MEDIA turned into Ministries of Propaganda....MOST of the NEWS ANCHORS were against the War....And as Time Marched on they went Further & Further & Further to the Political LEFT ( Progressive or Liberal)....Thy haven't looked or turned back since that Point In  time....

The Democrats who had been in FAVOR of that War , saw an opportunity developing with the ANTI-WAR Movement ....Why Not TEAM UP with the POWER of the Growing MEDIA? It's not like they weren't aware of the POWER that HITLER and GOEBBELS had in Germany, just with Radio & Newsprint...But with the Advent of TELEVISION....well the SKY was the limit....You know they just Might be able to HOLD on to their POWER, SPOILS, PERKS & New Found WEALTH for ever.... And that was the Beginning of what we see today....

The MEDIA is now a Permanent Fixture of Power & part of this Government...Independent they are NOT & haven't been in DECADES ...How many of you have ever heard of the "OPERATION MOCKINGBIRD?" I will keep it simple here, it was a CIA Operation ...The Plan was to PUT a GOVERNMENT MAN in every NEWSROOM in AMERICA....The Plan was to Control the Flow Of Information....Some would call it PROPAGANDA, I do!

Isn't it time to recognize that Shakespeare got it right when he said ,
