What is a true and genuine American Patriot; what are the components?

"I believe that a very important component is holding onto the values that have been passed onto us by the patriots that have gone before us. Some of those values are faith, family, freedom, sanctity of life from conception to natural death with the inherent dignity and value of every human being being acknowledged and respected, hard work and earning a place/position in society, helping our neighbors, personally supporting those in real need and living out all these values out in our daily lives. 

An American patriot would deeply love our country and faithfully participate in the political process, which requires study to become knowledgeable and well-informed to make the best choices that conform to our constitutional boundaries. Holding to the standards established by the Declaration and Constitution is a really important part of it because our identity as a people and nation ...was formed and developed from them. All of our American values were birthed from our Biblical foundation which permeated all aspects of society from the education and the arts to law and government, reaching from the lowest economic places to the highest levels of achievement and everything in between.

It was the air we all breathed and it made this country so different from all other places and it bound us together as a people. We might be rich, we might be poor, but achievement in any area of life by anyone was celebrated and served to show others that it could be done. We were unashamed to have heroes, to read about them, tell their stories, and learn from their lives. And for many years so many patriots were birthed out of this American soil, decent, strong, brave and true patriots who sacrificially served out of love and duty."
We're all grateful for the patriots we've been privileged to know.

UNMASKING THE ESTABLISHMENT…

I'm not sure that the GOP or Democrat Establishment ever truly had a mask on but until now they have largely made a veiled attempt to not be so blatantly apparent. With the latest round of actions, statements, and moves the GOP Establishment has become, or should be, totally UNMASKED for everyone to see.

The escalation of their actions and diatribe since Super Tuesday has been nothing short of infuriating. The Establishment threw their support behind Jeb Bush and that failed. Then they turned to Chris Christie and that failed. Some seemed to show signs of hope for John Kasich but will that work? I am convinced they are pushing all their chips to the center of the table behind the one I said from the outset was the real 2nd choice of the establishment, Marco Rubio. It is revealing as well as disturbing to see their ploy and their proposed pathway to the 2016 Elections.

Mitt Romney's speech angered me, not so much because of what he said but why he said it. Yes, I am making a judgment that I know the reason or, at least, some of the reasons behind it. I base that on history and the incessant blabber that has been going on for months now. They have done several things in this latest doubling down and none of it bodes well for the Establishment but they either do not see it, will not see it, or think we are too dumb to know what is going on or think for ourselves. After all, they are the masters and we are the peons on their political plantation so we should sheepishly line up with whatever they tell us.

That is why we have the political uproar we have today and their actions are not going to help their cause but do it more damage, as it should.
If the GOP Establishment truly cared about us and America and truly believed that stopping Donald Trump was the primary objective for the betterment of the Republican Party and the nation there is a simple path they could take, but they don't and won't. They seem to believe, misguidedly, that since Trump has been getting a percentage largely in the 30's and 40's there is a large majority who are Anti-Trump. That is true and not true.

When you have a large field seldom will you see one candidate garner over 50% of the vote in the primaries but is every single voter voting for someone other than Trump a devotedly Anti-Trump voter? I suspect not. I think there is a majority of the voters who are Anti-Establishment and Anti-Big Government not necessarily Anti-Trump or Anti-Cruz, etc. The Establishment seems to have the idea that if they could get everyone out of the race but Rubio and Trump then Rubio would get all the other votes and that is completely false.

They miss the reality that most of the Cruz vote is Anti-Establishment and Anti-Big Government and I seriously doubt that it would automatically go to Rubio.
I keep hearing "for the good of the country" and "the good of the party" that Trump must be stopped. If that were their true belief and agenda then rather than pushing Rubio or Kasich they would pressure those two to drop out and throw their support behind the person they hate more than Trump, Ted Cruz.

I am 100% convinced that the media, pundits, Democrats, and GOP Establishment hate and fear Cruz far more than they do Trump. That is not a statement to bash Trump but a view from where I'm sitting. Even Lindsay Graham, who apparently was joking when he suggested the murder of Ted Cruz, is now saying that, in his view, Cruz is the most viable candidate to oppose Trump. Again, I realize that anything I say will be construed by everyone devoted to the Donald Trump camp as a slam on him, but that is not my intent.

I am trying to point out the hypocrisy and agenda of the GOP Establishment not bashing the candidates. I was glad to hear all four candidates say they would support the eventual GOP nominee. I accept that UNLESS, in a disputed or brokered convention the Establishment underhandedly gave the nod to Paul Ryan or Mitt Romney. THEN, all bets would be off and probably should be!
Just as I suspect, Marco Rubio's tactic of hammering on Trump about the KKK and other things that are not supportable with factual evidence will cost him in the long run.

I do not believe Rubio particularly helped his cause last night but maybe he did. I believe that Romney's speech will have a negative effect on the Establishment and their anointed one. I truly believe that many of the Trump voters see his warts and flaws. I believe they are fully aware of his baggage but are fed up with business as usual, the elitist in Washington, and the do-nothingness of politicians and are willing to accept him with his revealed flaws as a means to achieve control of the party and take back our government. Will that work? I do not know how President Donald Trump would govern but I do know that we cannot afford to see how President Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders would govern.

We are not ignorant. We are not uninformed. We are no longer passive and apathetic. The GOP primaries reflect an energized electorate. It is possible there is somewhat of an "operation chaos" going on but I believe it reflects the attitude of millions that WE ARE FED UP with politicians and are going to do whatever it takes to try to take back our government.

 If I am right then in November there will be cross-over voting where Reagan Democrats and the old Southern Democrats will abandon their party and vote for the Republican. Of course, it is an eternity in political time until November 2016 and who knows what shoe or shoes might drop between now and then. 

You can be assured that the Democrats will use every tool of deception and dirty trick available so hang on to your hats and keep your eye on the prize. WE CAN WIN and AMERICA CAN BE RESCUED.
